All praise be to Allah جل جلاله, who has bestowed mercy, good health, and the opportunity to complete this book. May blessings and peace be upon the Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم, his family, his companions, and all his followers until the end of time. This book emerged from the simple journey of a retiree who does not wish to stop learning. It began with notes I wrote on the Kutipan Pustaka Blog starting in 2009; then, by Allah’s permission and with the help of technological advancements, I was able to compile those notes into a book. I am not a professional writer. What is presented in this book is a collection of experiences, reflections, and life lessons that I share in the hope that they may be of benefit to readers. If there is any good in it, it all comes from Allah جل جلاله. As for any shortcomings, they are entirely due to my limitations as a human being.8 I welcome any suggestions and feedback with an open heart, in the hope of improving this book in the future. At first, I simply wanted to fill my free time by reorganizing various notes I had written on the “Kutipan Pustaka” blog since 2009. Unexpectedly, the digital archive I had stored over the years turned out to be a truly valuable treasure. I have compiled the various experiences, reflections, and quotes that were once scattered across the digital realm into a more cohesive and accessible book. Through this book, I wish to share my belief that retirement is not the end of the journey. Rather, it is during this time that we have the opportunity to continue learning, creating, sharing experiences, and leaving a legacy of knowledge for future generations.
