We'll explore how technology is shaping our libraries. Our roadmap covers the background, objectives, methodology, data analysis, hypothesis testing, and a proposed ICT literacy model. Stay with us for the conclusions.ICT is vital for modern libraries, transforming them into accessible learning hubs. It provides 24/7 information access and supports digital preservation, improving research productivity.Library professionals manage both physical and digital resources, but gaps in ICT skills hinder modernization. We'll assess proficiency, identify gaps, and examine service quality implications. The shift to digital information services requires continuous ICT skill updates. Understanding current ICT competencies is essential for effective service delivery and modernizing college library services. Our objectives are to find ICT facilities, assess literacy among professionals, identify skill types, training methods, and attitudes towards ICT. We aim to develop an enhancement model. We propose several hypotheses regarding the influence of demographic factors, social networking, and software utility on ICT literacy and skills. The study's scope includes Aided Arts, Science & Commerce colleges in Mumbai and surrounding areas, focusing on college librarians and library professional staff. We used a survey method with a questionnaire via Google Forms, analyzing data with SPSS v29.0. We surveyed 159 colleges, receiving responses from 132 librarians, an 83.01% response rate. Our questionnaire response profile shows 83% of distributed questionnaires were received. This high response rate provides robust data for our analysis.
