This little booklet was created for more than explaining a song. It is an invitation to open the Scriptures and discover the Person standing at the center of the story - Jesus Christ. The Bible is filled with generations, places, promises, prophets, miracles, victories, failures, kings, fishermen, shepherds and ordinary people. Yet from Genesis to Revelation, one great story continues to unfold. God reveals Himself. God reaches toward mankind. God provides redemption. And ultimately, God reveals His Son. The song attracts the heart. The story opens the meaning. The Scripture establishes the truth. The invitation points to Jesus Christ. 2THE STORY BEHIND THE SONG A Mystery Being Revealed Heaven's Mystery Name began with a question: What is the Name that is above every name? The search led through the Scriptures. Before Bethlehem, God was already revealing His purpose. Creation speaks. Moses stands before the burning bush. Isaiah sees the Lord high and lifted up. Prophets wait. Then an angel comes to Mary, and the promised Child is given a Name: JESUS. The song continues through His earthly ministry. Blind eyes open. Storms become quiet. Lepers are cleansed. The dead rise. Then the story reaches beyond the cross, beyond the empty tomb, and all the way to Revelation - where Jesus Christ is revealed as the returning King of Kings and Lord of Lords. One song. One unfolding story. And standing at its center is Jesus Christ. This song is my worship and my witness. May it lead your heart to Him. 3FOLLOW THE STORY From Genesis to Revelation CREATION Before stars filled the heavens, God already was. Genesis 1 - John 1 MOSES From the burning bush came the declaration: "I AM THAT I AM." Exodus 3 ISAIAH The prophet saw the Lord upon His throne. Isaiah 6 MARY The angel announced the promised Son: "thou shalt call his name JESUS." Luke 1:31 GOSPELS Jesus healed, delivered, taught, died and rose again. Matthew - Mark - Luke - John REVELATION Heaven opens. The Savior is revealed as the triumphant King. Before the manger, there was majesty. Before Mary held Him, the Word already was. 9THE NAME IS REVEALED Promise Becomes Announcement God progressively revealed His promise throughout Scripture. EXODUS 3:14 “I AM THAT I AM.” LUKE 1:31 “And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS.” The Name was spoken: JESUS. 10
