ถึง แขกทุกคนที่มาเยือนบ้านเฮา บ้านเฮาหลังนี้อายุกว่า 50 ปี เดิมเคยเป็นเรือนหอ และจุดเริ่ มต้นชีวิตครอบครัวของพวกเฮา 4 คน หลายๆ อย่างในบ้านหลังนี้ ยังคงเป็นของเมื่อ 50 ปีก่อน ไม่ว่าจะเป็นเสาบ้านที่ชั้น 2 แผ่นพื้นไม้ ประตู ที่มีสติกเกอร์ที่พวกเฮาเคยเล่นตอนเด็กๆแปะไว้อยู่ เสาบันได หรือเสื่อลําแพน ที่แม้จะเป็นของเปลี่ยน ใหม่แล้ว เพราะของเก่าผุพังเต็มที แต่พวกเฮาก็นําไอเดียตกแต่งนี้มาจากที่ป๊าเคยทําตกแต่งบ้านไว้ เมื่อตอนอาศัยอยู่บ้านหลังนี้ บางส่วนของบ้านอาจเริ่ มผุหรือเก่าลงไปบ้าง แต่พวกเฮาอยากพยายามคงเหลือความทรงจําเอาไว้ให้ มากที่สุดเท่าที่เป็นไปได้ หลายๆ คนอาจจะคิดว่าที่บ้านเฮาเป็นคาเฟ่จีน แต่จริงๆแล้วพวกเฮาตั้ งใจให้คําว่า เฮา 好 เชื่อมโยงถึง 2 ภาษา ทั้ งจีนที่อ่าน “ห่าว hǎo” ที่แปลว่าดี และ ยังคงอ่านเป็นภาษาอีสานว่า “เฮา” ที่แปลว่า เรา ได้อีกด้วย เพราะบ้านหลังนี้ มาจากสายเลือดของ 2 คน คือป๊าที่มีเชื้อสายจีน และแม่ที่เป็นคนอีสาน พวกเฮาเลย เป็น จ.ป.ล. หรือ จีนปนลาวนั่นเอง ฮ่าๆ เมนูที่เราเสิร์ฟในบ้านหลังนี้ บางเมนูเป็นเมนูที่พวกเฮาชอบกินตอนเด็ก บางเมนูอย่าง “ขนมครกหมูสับ” เป็นเมนูที่ป๊าเคยเล่าเรื่องในสมัยเด็กของป๊าให้ฟัง แล้วเราก็เอามาทําตามจินตนาการ หรือบางเมนูก็เป็น เมนูที่คนใดคนนึงในบ้านเฮาชอบ เฮาหวังว่าเมื่อทุกคนมาเยือนบ้านหลังนี้ จะได้รับความสุข อบอุ่นหัวใจ และอิมสบายท้องกลับไปกันนะคะ ่ ขอบคุณทุกคนที่แวะมาเยี่ยมกันที่บ้านนะ ครอบครัวเฮา To all our dear guests, Welcome to our home, a place filled with love and history. This charming house has stood for over 50 years, once serving as the cozy nest where our family of four began. Many of the features you see today have been lovingly preserved from those early days, from the sturdy wooden pillars on the second floor to the vintage stickers on the doors that we played with as children. Even the traditional woven mats, though recently replaced due to wear, echo the design our father lovingly crafted years ago. We’ve done our best to keep these cherished memories alive. Some might think our home is a Chinese café, but it’s much more than that. The name “เฮา” (Hao) cleverly ties together two languages—Chinese, where “Hao” means good, and our local Isan dialect, where “เฮา” means “we” or “us.” It beautifully reflects the blend of our heritage, with a Chinese father and an Isan mother, making us proud to be a mix of both cultures—what we humorously call “Chor. Por. Lor.”, or Chinese Pon (mixed with) Lao. The dishes we serve here are a heartfelt tribute to our family’s tastes and traditions. Some are childhood favorites, like the savory "Kanom Krok Moo Sub" inspired by a dish our father fondly recalled from his own youth. Others are simply dishes that hold a special place in one of our hearts. We sincerely hope that when you visit our home, you’ll feel the warmth and happiness we’ve tried to infuse in every corner and leave with a full heart and a satisfied appetite. The noodles are perfectly chewy, making it the ideal comforting breakfast to warm your stomach. So, we tried a twist on the classic baguette, popular in the Isan region, by filling it with local delicacies like “moo yor” (pork sausage) and Chinese sausage from Pak Chong. Ever since that day, whenever we ordered this dish, Dad would always remind us to be careful. 105.-Hao This delightful coffee features medium-light roasted Brazilian coffee beans mixed with coconut water, topped with a rich cream blended with coconut milk. It’s a refreshing and aromatic drink. Although they’ve passed on and the shop no longer exists, we wanted to keep the name alive through this coffee. This drink is similar to an Affogato, but we’ve tried to capture the taste of "Kanom Pla Grim Kai Tao," a sweet treat we always asked our mother to bring back from the market. If anyone shares the same surname, do let us know! This coffee is a mix of plum and peach, reminiscent of those old-fashioned 2-for-1-baht salted plum candies wrapped in red paper.
