PART ONE: THE AWAKENING
How Your Home Became the Mirror of Your Soul
Welcome to Mothers
Trinity Wellness
I am so glad you are
here. Truly. Because
what we are about to
explore together is not
just another lesson
about cleaning your
house. This is a
conversation about your
soul. About the space
you live in, and about
the invisible thread that
connects the two.
You may have arrived
here feeling tired.
Overwhelmed, perhaps
even a little ashamed of
the state of your home.
I want you to know
something before we go
any further.
You are safe here. There is no judgement in this space. Only understanding.
Only truth. Only the gentle invitation to see things differently.
So let us begin.6
The Hidden Sabotage
This is where you
unknowingly sabotage your
own spiritual journey. I
know that sounds dramatic.
But stay with me. Because
what I am about to share
might explain so much
about how you have been
feeling.
You have forgotten that you
are the Universal
Consciousness experiencing
life through your physical
being. The personality that
you are. You are not just a
woman with a messy house.
You are a soul, a divine
spark. An expression of the
Infinite Source held in
space, walking around in
human form.
Therefore, the disorder and chaos in your home attract compatible energies.
Heavier, unsettled energies. Lingering presences.
Now I know that might sound frightening. But let me explain it gently. Think of
your home as a still pond. When the water is clear, light penetrates deep. When
the water is murky, only shadows gather.
Your cluttered space becomes their home too. And their heavy energy begins to
blend with yours. In ways you might not even recognise at first.7
Why Cleaning Feels Like Relief
Have you ever noticed that strange sense of relief after a thorough cleaning
session? That airy fresh feeling in your heart. That lightness in your chest. That
unexpected peace that seems to come from nowhere.
You finish sweeping. You wipe down the counters. You light a candle. You burn
incense. You place a bunch of flowers on your table. And suddenly, you can
breathe again.
Most people dismiss these feelings as merely psychological, which they are.
But the impact goes far deeper. What you are experiencing is simultaneously
psychological and spiritual cleansing happening in real time. Each movement of
the broom across your floor is not just removing dust and debris. It is sweeping
away the invisible layers of stagnant energy that had settled upon your mind
and your soul.
This transformation happens whether you are aware of it or not. But imagine
how much more powerful it becomes when you clean with intention. With full
consciousness. Breathing love into every corner of your house.
Like the first rain after a long dry season. It does not just wet the earth. It
awakens everything sleeping beneath the surface.
The Question That Changes Everything
So the question is… What happens when you understand that a peace of mind
and Divine inner peace are connected so deeply that cleaning itself becomes a
spiritual practice? What shifts inside you when you approach your home not as
a chore to complete but as sacred ground to tend? Because here is a truth you
should carry with you. The joy of a clean room outweighs the pain of the chore.
And once you truly understand that, everything changes.
Neglect Is Not About Time
Now let us look in a little deeper. When you neglect your home, you often tell
yourself it is because you do not have time. Because you are too busy, because
life is overwhelming. I hear you. But if you are truly honest with yourself, 8
when you look beneath the surface of the excuses. You will often find
something far more painful hiding there. Neglect is not really about time. It is
about hope, or more precisely, the absence of it.
When your psyche has quietly given up on itself. When you have lost faith in
your own future, but have not yet found the courage to admit this truth.
Therefore, the first place that breakdown becomes visible is in your physical
environment. The mess grows not because you are lazy, but because somewhere
deep inside, a part of you has stopped believing that life can get better.
The West African Yoruba Proverb captures this perfectly. "If the house is swept,
the mind feels light. A dirty compound brings heavy thoughts." What you see
around you is a reflection of what lives within you. And sometimes that
reflection reveals emotional wounds you have been desperately trying to ignore.
Like a sand dune that shifts with every wind. Your outer world reshapes itself
according to the storms within.
The First Step is Prayer
Simple rituals for home peace begin with
prayer, this is where the journey toward
transformation begins. When your energy
is so depleted that getting out of bed feels
like an impossible mission. When the
weight of every day feels heavy, and the
feeling that the night should go on forever.
The first step forward is not grabbing a
broom. It is not attacking the dishes. The
first step is far simpler, and infinitely more
powerful.
“I wait for the Lord, my whole being waits,
and in his word I put my hope. I wait for
the Lord more than watchmen wait for the
morning, more than watchmen wait for the
morning.” – (Psalm 130:5-6)9
Prayer
Prayer for a sincere request for help spoken from the deepest part of your heart.
It moves something in the spiritual realm. Heaven listens and the universe
responds. And when that help arrives, it often comes as a subtle shift. A tiny
spark of motivation that was not there before. A gentle nudge that helps you
take just one small action. Like the first light of dawn after a long dark night.
Prayer does not flood the sky all at once. It begins as a faint glow on the
horizon. A promise. A whisper. A new beginning.
Your Home is Sacred Space
Because your home is not separate from sacred space. It is an extension of the
temple itself, your physical being. Therefore, every act of domestic service,
when performed with love and gratitude for having a roof over your head,
becomes a form of prayer.
Think about the impact of this shift in your frame of mind. Washing dishes is no
longer a mundane chore. It is a spiritual practice. Folding laundry transforms
from tedious routine into meditation. Sweeping the floor becomes an offering of
appreciation to the Divine. Each simple gesture, when infused with genuine
thankfulness, does not just clean your physical space. It actively transforms the
energy of your entire environment.
You are not just tidying up. You are conducting a sacred ritual that has been
practised by conscious souls throughout human history. The ancients, your
ancestors, knew this truth through inner Divine Knowing, even when they did
not have the words to describe what they were doing behind the scenes of their
seemingly ordinary actions.
Like a well that draws water from deep within the earth, your gut. Your simple
acts of care draw living energy into your home.
What Is Your Home Saying About You
The decisions you make about how you approach your daily tasks carry far
more spiritual weight than you could ever imagine. And once you understand
this, you can never look at your home the same way again.10
If you have ever felt that deep exhaustion that goes beyond physical tiredness,
write in your journal now: “I am ready to heal.” There is a reason why you
procrastinate cleaning. Your lack of action goes far deeper than simple laziness
or lack of motivation. And this revelation might be one of the most important
things you hear today.
When you avoid tidying your space. When you walk past the mess day after day
without taking action. You are often doing something far more significant than
just postponing a chore. You are avoiding yourself. You are running from the
quiet confrontation that happens when you slow down.
When you engage with your environment. When you are left alone with your
thoughts and feelings. It is easier to ignore what hurts. Easier to distract
yourself with screens and noise and busy schedules. But harder to sit with your
own spirit and ask that terrifying question. Why am I feeling this way?
The mess becomes a shield. A convenient excuse to never look inward. Because
cleaning requires presence. It requires you to be here now in this moment. And
for many of us, the present moment is exactly where all your unprocessed pain
lives, waiting to be acknowledged.
Like the tide that reveals what the ocean has been carrying. Your home reveals
what your soul has been holding.
The Honest Reflection
This brings us to a profound question that deserves your honest reflection. What
is your home actually saying about you right now? Not what you wish it said.
Not what you plan to make it say someday. But right now in this very moment.
Does it represent you? Is joy present within your walls of your home and your
heart? Does your space feel alive with possibility and peace? Although it may
have quietly transformed into something else entirely. A storage unit for a tired
body dragging itself through routines. A vessel for silenced voices and
suppressed emotions. A place where dreams came to be forgotten. Like a once
flowing river that has slowed to a trickle.
