We’re introducing you to CSC-170L, a crucial course presented by Mr. Stuart Anderson and Dr. Issac Osunmakinde. Understanding the difference between CSC-170 and CSC-170L is crucial. CSC-170 is a lecture course focused on fundamental concepts, programming paradigms, and methods in computer programming. CSC-170L, on the other hand, is a lab course designed to reinforce what we've learned in CSC-170 by applying knowledge through practical skill assessments. In CSC-170L, practical skill assessments will be assigned, which you, as students, are expected to complete and submit during lab time. Additionally, quizzes may be given every week by ZyBooks, typically due on Sunday of the week they are assigned. We encourage an interactive learning environment, so we’ll have dedicated time for questions and answers. We want to know what grade you aspire to achieve in this course. More importantly, we'll discuss the necessary conditions to achieve that desired grade. This includes being punctual, attentive in class, and refraining from using cell phones, earbuds, or headphones during instruction. Active participation in class and submitting assignments on time are also vital. Most importantly, we emphasize doing your own work and refraining from any attempts to cheat, as academic integrity is paramount.
