This document explores the ethical implications and creative decline among technical students due to Artificial Intelligence in Second Language Acquisition. The research was conducted in Gujarat, India, among undergraduate students, surveying their perceptions of ChatGPT usage. The study highlights that while ChatGPT offers benefits like improved grammar and vocabulary, it also raises concerns about academic integrity, with 40% of students admitting to using it for assignments. Approximately 30% of students expressed that ChatGPT can enhance their creative writing, yet a significant portion also noted a potential decline in original thought. The findings suggest a complex relationship between AI tools and student development. While AI can be a powerful learning aid, educators must implement strategies to promote responsible use and critical thinking. This includes revising academic policies and fostering an environment where AI is seen as a tool for learning, not a shortcut. The research emphasizes the need for a balanced approach to integrating AI into education, ensuring it supports rather than hinders the development of essential academic skills.
