EDITORIAL
VISIONARY VOICE
We live in a world of Volatility,
Uncertainty, Complexity and
Ambiguity (VUCA). The real
challenge is not managing the world
outside—it is managing the world
within.
Happiness is not a destination; it is a daily practice of
being present, purposeful and peaceful. Mental
wellbeing begins when we stop measuring worth only by
performance. Success without inner balance becomes
stress. We must nurture four dimensions—physical,
mental, emotional and spiritual. In a VUCA world, we
cannot control circumstances, but we can choose our
response. Mindfulness helps us pause. Gratitude shifts
perspective. Meaning gives direction. Relationships
bring belonging. Purpose builds resilience. I often
interact with GSIMR students and teach them these
principles—reminding them not to wait for life to be less
challenging to be happier, but to become stronger, wiser
and more aware while navigating challenges. The future
belongs to that calm amidst change, compassionate
amidst competition, and joyful amidst uncertainty.
Ultimately, the most successful life is not the one with
the most achievements, but the one with the most
meaning, balance and inner peace.
At GSIMR, we believe that management education is not
confined to classrooms—it is a journey of learning,
interaction, leadership, values, and real-world exposure.
Abhyudaya 2026, the five-day Orientation Programme for
the MBA Batch 2026–28, truly reflected this philosophy
through engaging activities, expert interactions, teambuilding exercises, wellness sessions, social responsibility
initiatives, and industry exposure. From the warm
welcome on Day 1 to the CSR visit, Emerging Leaders
Symposium, wellness and adventure activities, and the
industrial visit to JSW Steel. As students begin their MBA
journey, we hope they carry forward the values of
empathy, resilience, teamwork, curiosity, and purpose. As
beautifully expressed in our Visionary Voice, true success
lies not merely in achievements, but in meaning, balance,
and inner growth. May this new journey inspire our
students to learn with curiosity, lead with confidence,
serve with compassion, and create an impact that extends
beyond themselves.

As part of its commitment to experiential learning, GSIMR, in association with IMA, organized an industrial visit to
JSW Steel Coated Products Ltd., Dhar, on 21 August 2026. The visit offered students an opportunity to step beyond
the classroom and gain first-hand exposure to a large-scale manufacturing environment.

various sections of the plant and observed key processes including slitting, pickling, cold rolling, galvanizing, and
colour coating. They also gained practical insights into material handling, quality control, shift management, employee
welfare, and inter-functional coordination.
