ABOUT THE INSTITUTION & DEPARTMENT About the College: Nazareth Margoschis College at Pillaiyanmanai is a co-educational institution that offers a diverse range of programs in Arts, Science and Commerce. Named in honor of the revered S.P.G. Missionary Rev. Canon Arthur Margoschis, the college is strategically located in a rural setting, ensuring convenient access for the youth from the southern villages of Thoothukudi District. Under the governance of the Thoothukudi-Nazareth Diocesan, the college functions as the educational arm of the Thoothukudi-Nazareth Diocese of the Church of South India. The institution provides a spectrum of academic offerings, encompassing nine undergraduate courses and five postgraduate courses in Mathematics (Aided), History, English, Chemistry, and Commerce. Moreover, the research centers specializing in Commerce, English, and Mathematics extend Ph.D. programs to further academic pursuits. About the Department: The Department of Chemistry was established in 1978, with the commencement of the M.Sc. Chemistry program in 2001.
