The Food Industries Polytechnic, or FIP, is a non-profit training institution that plays a crucial role in shaping the national workforce capability within the food industry in Saudi Arabia. Established in 2009, FIP is the result of strategic partnerships between the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation and Almarai company, with vital funding support from the Human Resources Development Fund (HRDF). Our vision is to be the premier polytechnic in developing high-caliber Saudi nationals for the food industry, and our mission is to support Saudi society by developing local talent and complementing localization efforts in the private sector. Our comprehensive approach ensures trainees receive significant advantages. We offer guaranteed employment for our graduates, who are considered employees of the sponsoring company from the beginning of their training program. We also offer financial support for trainees through a fixed monthly stipend throughout their training period. Our state-of-the-art training facilities include modern classrooms, computer labs, scientific labs, workshops, a leisure center, and training factories that simulate real-world workplace settings. All training activities are undertaken by experienced and highly qualified trainers who possess extensive technical knowledge and skills in their respective fields. This holistic environment ensures our trainees are well-prepared for their careers. Our diploma programs are designed to meet the diverse needs of the food industry. The Food Technology Program, for instance, enhances basic knowledge and skills in areas such as production processes, food safety, and quality control. It also strengthens specialized fields like bakery, dairy products, water production, and food quality inspection, all based on national professional standards to meet the training needs of the local labor market. Key specializations include Dairy Technology, Bakery Technology, Food Processing Technology, Food Quality Inspection, Beverage Production Technology, Poultry Meat Technology, and Water Production Technology. The Farm Technology Program is designed to train young Saudis in basic knowledge and skills such as animal production, nutrition, breeding, and farm-to-product processes with industrial-scale operations. This program prepares them to take on leading roles in farming, poultry, and animal husbandry, meeting the needs of the labor market. Specializations here include Dairy Farm Production, Grain Farm Production, Animal Feed Production, and Poultry Farm Production. Our Maintenance & Repair Program stands out by enhancing basic knowledge and skills in areas such as fleet vehicle servicing, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, and refrigeration systems and components. It also reinforces specialized fields like automotive, electrical, mechanical, welding, and refrigeration, aligning with national professional standards to meet the training needs of the local labor market. Specializations include Automotive Technology, Electrical Technology, Mechanical Technology, Refrigeration Technology, and Industrial Refrigeration. The Food Supply Chain Program is designed to enhance knowledge and skills in areas such as forecasting, inventory management, logistics, and best warehouse practices. It also reinforces specialized fields in retail, logistics, and sales, equipping young Saudi professionals to meet the demands of the FMCG industry. Specializations offered are Retail, Logistics, and Sales. Lastly, our Technical Accounting Program is tailored to national professional standards for the accounting profession, addressing the training needs of the local labor market. It aims to equip trainees with the skills, knowledge, resources, and practical experience necessary to manage accounting functions in the food industry.
