Description:
We are the Metro Lipa Water District, a government-owned and controlled corporation dedicated to providing essential water services to our community. Our primary mission is to serve the greatest number of people by offering a reliable, sustainable, safe, and affordable water supply. We achieve this through a financially viable, self-sufficient, and modern utility operation.
Our vision is to ensure continuous and efficient water service to residential, commercial, agricultural, and industrial areas within Lipa City, Balete, Mataas na Kahoy, Malvar, and parts of San Jose. We strive to meet the growing demand in these regions and maintain high standards of service delivery.
When it comes to service connections, we categorize them into Residential and Commercial. Residential connections are typically for one or two-family dwellings using a single meter for domestic purposes. Commercial connections, on the other hand, cater to businesses and establishments that use water for commercial activities. This can include three or more family dwellings also using a single meter for domestic purposes, or any service connection used for business purposes like buildings, non-residential, and non-industrial enterprises.
Commercial connections are further sub-classified as Full Commercial, Commercial A, and Commercial B, each depending on the type of establishment and its water usage needs. For example, Full Commercial includes rest houses, hotels, private hospitals, cafeterias, ice cream parlors, beer houses, bars, restaurants, gasoline stations, bus stations, concrete product manufacturers, and theaters. Commercial A covers services like photo studios, dental clinics, warehouses, groceries, gift shops, private offices, drugstores, wholesale and retail outlets, and furniture shops. Lastly, Commercial B encompasses Sari-Sari stores, vulcanizing and repair shops, other premises selling food or services, apartments with central water meters, residential users sub-connecting to three or more houses, small backyard farms, and small boarding houses.
We have established clear new water rates based on these classifications and meter sizes. For instance, a residential or government connection with a 1/2" meter size has a minimum charge of 172.50. A commercial or industrial connection with the same meter size starts at 345.00. Commercial A connections begin at 301.85 for a 1/2" meter, and Commercial B starts at 258.75. These rates adjust based on the volume of water consumed, measured in cubic meters. We ensure transparency in billing, and our water bill forms clearly outline all charges, including the meter reading, consumption, and any applicable discounts. Our customer service hotlines are 756-1611 and 756-1118, and you can find more information on our website at www.metrolipawd.gov.ph.
