KERTAS KERJA KARISMA WRITE UP 2026 Date 15 September 2026 Target Group 5 MPV, 5 Cemerlang and 5 Dedikasi Number of Pupils 80 pupils Level Weak to Intermediate Focus Paper 2 – Part 1 Writing Organiser English Panel, SMK Seberang Jaya1.0 TITLE Karisma Write Up 2026 – Paper 2 Part 1 Writing Enhancement Programme 2.0 INTRODUCTION Karisma Write Up 2026 is a focused English writing intervention programme organised by the English Panel of SMK Seberang Jaya for 80 Form 5 pupils from 5 MPV, 5 Cemerlang and 5 Dedikasi. The programme specifically targets Paper 2, Part 1 writing and is designed for pupils at weak to intermediate proficiency levels. The programme will use selected material from Slides/Pages 73–95 of EL Booster Module slides as the main language resource. The emphasis will be on practical writing skills, sentence construction, linking ideas, appropriate language and planning. Particular attention will be given to the writing skills developed in the writing section, including understanding the task, organising ideas, making suggestions, giving reasons and presenting information clearly. 3.0 RATIONALE Weak and intermediate pupils often have difficulty understanding what a writing task requires, generating relevant ideas, developing points and expressing those ideas accurately. They may also lack confidence in understanding the task and presenting information clearly. A targeted programme with short, manageable activities will allow pupils to practise these skills before completing a Part 1 writing task independently. 4.0 OBJECTIVES By the end of the programme, pupils should be able to: • identify the key requirements of a Part 1 writing task; • understand the purpose, audience and situation of a writing task; • generate relevant ideas and select appropriate points to include; • construct simple, accurate sentences using suitable vocabulary; • use basic linking words to connect ideas clearly; • give suggestions, reasons and simple explanations where required; • use an appropriate tone and level of formality;5.0 TARGET GROUP The programme involves 80 Form 5 pupils from 5 MPV, 5 Cemerlang and 5 Dedikasi. The pupils are categorised broadly as weak to intermediate learners . 6.0 DATE, TIME AND VENUE Date 15 September 2026 Time 8.00 a.m. – 10.30 p.m. (proposed) Venue SMK Seberang Jaya ( Bilik Seminar) 7.0 CONTENT FOCUS The programme will focus on the following selected areas Area Application to Part 1 Writing Task analysis Identifying the topic, purpose, audience and points that must be addressed. Idea generation Brainstorming and selecting relevant ideas before writing. Suggestions and reasons Using suggestions and recommendations and explaining the expected result/reason. Organisation Arranging ideas logically and using clear paragraphing where appropriate. Linking expressions Using simple connectors to show addition, contrast, reason and result. By narrowing the programme to the relevant writing skills and language support from Slides/Pages 73–95 of EL Booster Module pupils will have repeated opportunities to understand the task, generate ideas, construct accurate sentences, organise their response and edit their work. The programme is expected to strengthen pupils’ confidence and readiness for the SPM English writing component.KARISMA MODULE
