As the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia continues to advance its Food Industry, developing national talent remains essential to sustainable growth, food security, industrial development, and long-term economic progress. This is where the Food Industries Polytechnic, known as FIP, plays an important national role. FIP is a nonprofit training institution established in 2009 through a strategic partnership between the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation and Almarai, with support from the Human Resources Development Fund. Our purpose is clear: to develop Saudi talent, strengthen localization, and support companies in building a skilled, capable, and sustainable national workforce. One of FIP’s greatest strengths is our employment-focused training model. Through company sponsorship, trainees are prepared to meet real workforce requirements and connected with their sponsoring companies from the beginning of their training journey. Eligible trainees receive monthly financial support while gaining a clear career pathway through practical learning, industry exposure, company visits, and on-the-job training. Our training environment is designed to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real industry practice. FIP facilities include computer laboratories, specialized laboratories, training plants, workshops, and dedicated classrooms, supported by experienced and highly qualified trainers. These facilities allow trainees to move beyond theory, develop practical technical skills, and gain confidence in environments that reflect real workplace operations. FIP offers diploma programs in Food Technology, Farm Technology, Maintenance and Repair, Supply Chain and Logistics, and Technical Accounting. These programs prepare Saudi talent for technical, operational, agricultural, maintenance, logistics, quality, and business roles across the Food Industry. Our Continuous Learning Program also provides focused short courses in Food Safety, Supply Chain, Sales, Maintenance and Repair, and Occupational Health and Safety. These programs help individuals strengthen and update their skills while supporting companies in building workforce capability and improving operational performance. The FIP trainee journey is structured over approximately two and a half years. The first year focuses on building strong foundation skills. The second year develops core technical competencies through classroom and practical training. The final six months are dedicated to on-the-job training, where trainees apply their knowledge in real workplace environments, gain practical experience, and prepare for professional employment.
