The presentation highlights three main pillars: Mindful Learning, which involves understanding goals, connecting knowledge, and metacognition; Meaningful Learning, which emphasizes authentic problem-solving, knowledge transfer, and connecting concepts to real life through methods like project-based learning and inquiry; and Joyful Learning, fostered by a positive, safe, and collaborative environment with constructive feedback. Seven driving principles of deep learning include being student-centered, focusing on conceptual understanding, integrating concepts, developing higher-order thinking skills, using authentic contexts, continuous reflection, and knowledge transfer. Importantly, Deep Learning is clarified not as a new curriculum to replace existing ones, but as a pedagogical engine to optimize the Merdeka Curriculum, focusing on deep mastery of essential competencies. It perfectly synergizes with the Merdeka Curriculum by emphasizing competence, differentiated learning, clear learning achievements, formative assessments, and contextual learning. The practical implementation in classrooms includes Problem-Based Learning, Project-Based Learning, Inquiry Learning, Discovery Learning, and Collaborative Learning. This shift transforms the educator's role from an information conveyor to a Learning Designer, who crafts learning experiences, provides scaffolding, challenges reasoning, and facilitates reflection. This pedagogical evolution aims to cultivate 21st-century Pancasila student profiles who are critical thinkers, creative, adaptive, independent, and resilient, ready to face the challenges of their era.
